A little late, but, Happy Birthday, Lyddie! Hope you had a great day. Wow, found this online, made me think of Maplecroft and the state of the Brownells old home.

You're welcome, Kat. I believe that the house is somewhere in Massachusetts, I looked and couldn't find a picture of the whole thing. Its a shame to see a Victorian house, whether historically significant or not, fall into a state of disrepair.

I think I recall from a bus tour that Lydia Pinkham was from Salem, but I could be misremembering.

The Pinkham - there's a memorial in Salem. Let me find the picture - I was just looking at it a minute ago.

Thanks for the pic, Susan! It is in sad disrepair, but I like the photo. I don't remember seeing that building in Salem, but Doug is right about her. There is a Lydia Pinkham free wellness center there (that is in nice shape.) I have a photo of myself in front of it from a few years ago. (Is that the one you meant, Doug?) When I've got a minute I'll try to hunt it down and send it.
