Never heardof Lizzie

A woman who helps clean my house every other week brought her niece here the other day, Well the niece saw by magnets of Lizzie on my refrigerator and ask who was that. I told her all about Lizzie, and she never heard of her. I told her to go to the library and check out books about Lizzie. I hope she will go and read up about her.
Gosh I first heard about Lizzie back in the early 70's when a friend gave me a book to read, the title was LB "The Untold Story." then on I was hooked on Lizzie.

same thing at the baby shower i had Sunday for
my daughter in law, one of the games had a question "who was a child of Andrew J. Borden" and
not one of the young gals ever heard of Lizzie Borden. They were also all mad at me for "Naomi"!
No country music fans at the shower either!

I first heard of Lizzie in college... We discussed her in criminal justice class I was taking at the time...

The first time I heard about Lizzie I was about 12 years old...but then I just thought the whole thing was scary, kind of like one of those stories about the guy with a hook for a hand
. My interest really grew in her when I was in my late teens. I know there are many people who have never heard of her. When I gave my speech on her for my class, many people had never heard of her before that day. But quite a few said they wanted to do some reading up about it after that. Seems once you hear about the case, it grabs you and never lets go. At least thats how it was for me.

hehe, my mother was always open and honest with me and I was always "old for my age". I learned of many a morbid thing at a young age because I "was an explorer" and she was terrified I'd be abducted or something horrible. I was always getting into some kind of trouble be it the knife drawer or running off too far from home. Like I said, I was old for my age, my first book report in school was not on fiction, but on real life ghosts.
I don't remember how it came up but I remember my mother telling me of Lizzie in the car somewhere between the ages of 5-9 and I thought it an interesting story...pieces drew me in over the years but my quest didn't really start until a few years ago. The TV biographies got me hooked

How do you not know lizzie? that's like not knowing who is the rock group chicago.Or that nurshery rhytym lizzie bourdon gave her mother 40 whacks and when she saw what she had done she gave her father 41

Believe it or not I've run into quite a few!! I've had to warp their minds a little and get Lizzie in there. I have a good friend who has never seen a documentary on the Borden case so of course I'm eager to record one.
The last time one aired the only tape I had was kids cartoons I had recorded for their child...I ALMOST recorded the lizzie thing on that tape but resisted. Oh my if Mum didn't get up in time to hit stop that would be bad. He's still a bit young for Lizzie.
